Fee Structure & Bond Information
Below are the fees and accommodation prices applicable to the Village Glen Capel Sound campus. These prices are effective from the 1st January 2019 until 31st March 2019 and based on MPIR of 5.94%.
Basic Daily Fee
This covers living costs such as meals, utilities and laundry. Everyone moving into an aged care facility is asked to pay this fee. It is adjusted twice per year in line with the aged care pension.
Accommodation Payment or Contribution
Some people will have their accommodation costs subsidised by the Australian Government, while others will need to pay the accommodation price agreed with the aged care facility. Payment options mean everyone can afford to live with us in the accommodation option of their choice. Please speak to the Resident Liaison team to discuss.
Means Tested Care Fee
Depending on your income and assets, you may be asked to pay a Means Tested Care Fee. This is a contribution towards the cost of your care. The Department of Human Services or Department of Veteran Affairs will work out if you need to pay this fee based on an assessment of your income and assets. The Means Tested Care Fee is a daily fee, which is subject to an annual and lifetime cap. We strongly advise you to see an independent financial adviser with experience in aged care who will be able to answer your financial questions based on your individual situation.
Fees for Extra and Additional Services
Additional services are those services provided above the minimum requirement under the Aged Care Act. We provide all residents with a range of Foxtel channels, access to WiFi internet for residents and their families, and a room telephone including all local, national and calls to mobile phones for the additional fee of $12.50 per day. Alternatively you can pay for these additional items individually at the following cost: telephone $7.50, Foxtel $7.50, or WiFi $5.00. Other services may be available from time to time, including (but not limited to) electric recliner in room, room fridge, portable air conditioning, massage services or a daily cappuccino from the café.
