The Village Glen, one of the largest and most well-appointed retirement communities on the Mornington Peninsula, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our Allied Health Team, working in both our Short-Term Restorative Care (STRC) and Home Care Packages (HCP) Program.

In this full-time position (can be negotiated to 0.8 FTE for the right applicant) you will assess the home environment of clients requiring assistance to remain living independently at home and enhance their ability to do this via aides and equipment provision and other relevant interventions.

Your responsibilities will include working with the Allied Health Assistant to attend to referrals from the HCP Team and form part of the multi-disciplinary team working in the STRC program across the broader Southern Metropolitan region. Our clients are over 65 years old, living in their own homes, which may be within the village or across the broader Mornington Peninsula/Southern region. This dynamic role will keep you engaged, providing job satisfaction along the way.

Village Glen Flexicare deliver services across the Frankston City Council and Mornington Peninsula region, to clients living in their own homes under the Home Care Packages and Veterans Home Care program.

What can you bring?

You'll need to be broad-minded, empathetic and bring a diverse range of experience to the table with you, as well as a Cert. III / IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Care or Aged Care. (If you're currently working towards a Cert. III qualification, that's ok too).
